Thirty years on the trucks. Now in your corner.
We're not a national hauler with a friendly logo. We're the people who spent careers inside this industry — and decided to use what we learned for the customer instead of against them.
Owner-operated, from the first call to the final pickup.
Midwest Waste Consultants was built on a simple frustration: businesses were getting buried by waste contracts written to confuse them. Auto-renewal clauses. Surcharges that appeared out of nowhere. Containers sized to bill more, not to fit the job. After decades working in waste and hauling, we knew exactly where the money leaks — so we started a company to plug it.
Midwest Waste Consultants was founded in 2015, and today the consulting and brokering practice works nationally — sourcing and negotiating service for single proprietors and multi-state, multi-site corporations alike, in all fifty states. Alongside it, our own trucks run hands-on hauling and roll-off service across the Illinois Fox Valley, which keeps us honest: we still do the work we advise other people to buy.
Meet the owners
Midwest Waste was born in a corporate office at a previous publicly-traded hauler — in the middle of a meeting about how to raise prices on customers outside their contracted terms. At the time, Greg was Tyler's sales manager. They looked at each other and said, "This is crazy — there has to be a better way." So they built it. Greg and Tyler are also family by marriage: their wives are first cousins, which means nothing goes unsaid and feelings get checked at the door.
Greg Lower came up the hard way — from the back of a garbage truck to Vice President of the organization. Over the years he's helped hundreds of customers, and his reputation in the community is everything to him. Every interaction gets the same personable, straight-shooting treatment. Greg loves his family, his sports, and helping people.
Tyler Weber followed Greg into waste and recycling after cutting his teeth in door-to-door sales. His competitive streak and tell-it-like-it-is style built a growing book of business nationwide — always trying to do more with less for the customer. Tyler loves his family, his golf, and helping people.
Both of them know the waste industry has forgotten what honest, upfront, consistent service looks like. Too often they meet business owners who assume they're being lied to when told what they should be paying. Changing that is the whole point.
The bear and the sphere
You've seen our trucks. The bear pushing the sphere isn't just a logo — it's the job. Strength, persistence, and momentum: moving heavy things forward, reliably, every day. It's the most recognizable mark in the Fox Valley waste business, and it stands for an old-fashioned promise — show up, do the work, stand behind it.
The anti-Waste-Management
Big national haulers are good at one thing: being big. You become an account number, your rate creeps every year, and getting a human on the phone is a project. We're the opposite by design. When you call, you talk to an owner. When you have a problem, the person you reach can fix it. That's not a marketing line — it's the entire reason we exist.
Plainspoken. Experienced. Direct.
Strength
The muscle behind hands-on hauling and decades of operational know-how.
Momentum
We move things forward — for the route and for your bottom line.
